3 Benefits of Writing Daily & How to Stick to Every Goal (Episode #171) with Meredith Rotz

Meredith Rotz is a dream chaser!! She not only went after one of her own dreams, but now she helps others achieve their dreams as well. She was a bit worried about going to coaching school when she was in her 40’s. Was it worth the cost - not only the money, but the time away from her family responsibilities?

But she felt very inspired and drawn to this new experience in her life. A thought that really helped her was, “If it wasn’t the right time, it wasn’t the right time. But I knew it was the right time. 42 year old Meredith is doing this for 45 year old Meredith.”

I can’t wait to have you listen to her inspiring message and get ready to tackle things in your own life in a similar way!

Show Notes:

Meredith Rotz is a wife and mother to 5 children and lives in Texas. A couple years ago she was trying to decide what the next chapter of her life should look like. All of her kids were in school, and she was ready to find her career. She went to a local community college and took a career placement test. She didn’t feel settled by the results, but on her way home from the test, she was listening to a podcast by a life coach. She realized life coaching was her calling!

She talked it over with her husband, and jumped into life coaching school. Meredith has a bachelors degree in English Literature, has lots of experience in editing, and has paired that with what she has learned in life coach certification to help coach others how to write and publish books.

Meredith takes her clients through the full process of writing a book. She starts with writing, and then moves on to organizing, coaches them through the process, edits their work and helps them get in touch with publishers.

3 Benefits of daily Writing:

  1. Clears your mind

  2. Creates better relationships with family and friends. When you practice writing, you learn how to communicate. You learn more about yourself, more about your feelings, what you like and what you don’t like. This helps you better communicate what you need, but also helps you be a more eloquent speaker with your friends and family.

  3. Better mental and emotional health

30 Day Daily Writing Course

Meredith has a 30 Day Writing course coming out January 9, 2023!! Every day she will email you a writing prompt and a coaching or writing tip or tool. She asks that her students take just 5 minutes a day to write. We all have 5 minutes, right?? Her prompts are meant to inspire 5-30 minutes of writing each day.

Every week she will hold a live zoom where she will elaborate on the tips and tools and answer any questions. Her course is only $29, and you can sign up on her Instagram page HERE.

Life Coaching Tip from Meredith:

Every morning and evening when you brush your teeth, look at yourself in the mirror and give yourself a pep talk. Walk and talk yourself through your day. Gear yourself up for chores or activities that wear you out or bring you stress. She says, “I need to treat myself like a friend. Be a nice girl, not a mean girl.” I LOVE that! Kick out those mean girl thoughts!
