Brent Beck is a husband and father to 5 children, and grandpa to 19 grandchildren with one more on the way. He was an airline pilot for 33 years.

About 20 years ago or so the airlines were having a hard time. Brent had an idea to make a little extra money for retirement. He played a lot of classic games with his brothers growing up, and he was inspired to take an old card game, give it an upgrade with some custom designs, and start selling it.

Toil & Troublez is the first game that didn’t come from Grandpa Beck’s family. It was a game from Europe that had done really well, that Brent got permission to retheme with his artist April Stott. The illustrations are beautiful! The game is engaging, interesting, easy to learn, and something you want to play again and again.
