French Bread Pizza Sandwiches

We had a bit of a dinner flop tonight- literally. But it ended up turning out fabulous! Our French Bread Pizza got completely stuck together as I was trying to slice it. Luckily, the flavors were still there and this childhood favorite kept us fed and happy. Plus, I really love how pretty the sandwiches look! I’m going to try this on purpose more often!

One of the greatest things about this recipe is how fast and easy it is to make! It’s fabulous for a busy night when you want something homemade but really don’t have the time to be fancy. Plus it’s cheap. College students- this is calling your name!!

French Bread Pizza & Sandwiches

Ingredients:

1 loaf of french bread

1 cup spaghetti sauce (we like Classico Tomato Basil or Classico Roasted Garlic)

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

your favorite pizza toppings

Directions:

Slice your french bread loaf in half lengthwise. Spoon sauce all over the open face of the loaf. Sprinkle with cheese and other toppings. Bake at 400 F degrees for about 12-15 minutes until cheese is melted, but before bread is burned.

You can eat it open faced, or you can close up the loaf and slice it up into sandwiches. Enjoy!
