Nutella Babka Directions
Dough DIRECTIONS:
There's a couple ways you can do this.
OPTION 1: My favorite is using the bread maker on the dough cycle. I like doing this because I just dump everything in and come back to it after an hour and a half. If you're using a bread maker- toss it all in and put it on the dough cycle.
OPTION 2: If you're using a Kitchen Aid or Bosch mixer, put everything in the mixer with the dough hook and let it work for 30 minutes. Then let it rise for one hour.
When your dough is mixed, divide it into 3 equal parts.
Directions for the filling:
Take one of your 3 parts and roll it out into a long oval. Slice it down the middle long ways, leaving it connected at the very top. You now have two strips. On one of the strips you are going to spread the whole length of it with 2 TBSP of Nutella. On the other strip, you’re going to spread with 2 TBSP of softened butter and sprinkle it with 2 TBSP of brown sugar.
Next you are going to twist the strip of Nutella and the strip with butter and brown sugar together, and pinch it at the bottom and tuck it under a little bit so it doesn’t unravel.
Repeat these process with the other two parts of your bread dough.
Preheat oven to 375 F degrees. Bake loaves for about 22-25 minutes.
Immediately when Nutella Babka comes out of the oven, brush the loaves with the glass solution (2 TBSP water + 2 TBSP sugar).
